Mount Cavalry Baptist Church is established.

It is located in a former synagogue at 15 Otisfield Street. The congregation was founded by Bishop Brumfield Johnson. Due to an dispute with the national organization, the congregation is forced to leave the building in 2012, and it is currently being renovated by Historic Boston.
